Job Title: Production Scheduler
Job Location: OR - Portland
Function as the focal point in creating a production schedule for Jewell Attachments
using the best combination of Made 2 Manage MRP system, Excel, and Access. The
production scheduler`s purpose is to provide a means to track and manage daily
manufacturing workload, provide feedback to engineering on in-house vs
subcontracted manufacturing hours, and provide regular reporting on manufacturing
status. The production schedule will provide an in-depth audit on production
requirements, manufacturing capacity, schedule, and workforce size.
Research and assign manufacturing times and due dates on parts as needed and
document during the releasing process.
Coordinate with Engineering and Production to sequence routing for manufacturing.
Monitors, analyzes, and reports performance to schedule of production activities
utilizing information derived from material and production control systems.
Analyze information received from engineering department and develop plan for work
order structure. Input Bill of Materials and Routing then effectively communicate the
requirements to purchasing and manufacturing personnel.
Reproduce drawings and assemble drawing packets complete with work-order router
(traveler), completion dates, and instructions for subsequent operations.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or combination work experience and education.
3-5 years’ experience in planning/scheduling
Strong project management, organizational and communications skills
Ability to change directions easily
Strong mechanical aptitude
Competent with computer software such as, AutoCAD, Microsoft office (Word, Excel,
Access, PowerPoint, MS Project).
Knowledge of Made 2 Manage, Syteline, Visual Manufacturing or other MRP/ERP
Experience in industrial manufacturing a plus
