Job Title: Sr. Process Engineer- Chemical

Job Description:

The Sr. Process Engineer will be a part of the Mass Transfer and Separations team 
that is responsible for engineering customer solutions and preparing Techno 
commercial proposals for  products.  Key dimensions of this position include:  
design of column internals; cost estimation; optimizing customers’ process 
performance; project cost analysis and leading/mentoring other process engineers.  
Work must be completed thoroughly, accurately and at a pace that meets 
customers’ objectives. The work will involve all areas of Petroleum refining, 
Upstream Gas plants and Chemical plants. The ability to clearly communicate the 
results of complex analysis is critical to the success of this position.
·	Review customers’ Request for Quotations and analyze requirements
·	Design and evaluate Mass Transfer and separation equipment such as 
Trays, Packing, distributors, supports in vessels or columns, Mist eliminators, etc.
·	Cost estimation of Mass Transfer and Separation equipment
·	Prepare proposals and present to the customers
·	Make sales calls, follow up proposals submitted and visit clients to 
discuss the proposed design and other terms and conditions
·	Troubleshoot customer scenarios with low performing Mass Transfer 
and Separation equipment and propose value added solutions
·	Review submittal drawings and collaborate with customers’ and their 
agents to achieve approval in a timely manner.
·	Use simulation programs for sizing columns, trays, packings and or 
other internals (e.g. distributors, supports, etc…)
·	Turnover jobs at kickoff meetings to project engineer and assist them 
on follow up techno commercial issues.
·	Provide startup and shut down assistance as required
·	Periodic contacts with customers to maintain relationships for future 
·	Attend technical seminars and shows
·	Publish technical articles to support marketing and sales

Required Qualifications 
·	Bachelors in Chemical Engineering or M.S. Chemical Engineering 
·	P.E. License preferred
·	8+ years experience in process and equipment design for Refineries, 
Gas plants and chemical plants
·	Familiarity with the fundamentals of refinery process units, upstream 
gas plants and chemical plants
·	Petroleum industry related process modeling or simulation experience
·	Strong quantitative/analytical problem-solving skills
·	Well developed computer skills including the use of MS office ( Excel, 
word and Power point, VBA), Aspen Plus/Hysys/ProII
·	Self-starter, team player, enthusiastic, and committed to providing 
accurate results for both routine and challenging projects
·	Effective listening skills
·	Effective communicator at all levels of an organization, (internal and
