Job Title: Production Engineer
Job Location: LA
Track manufacturing performance to identify, communicate, and eliminate production
performance issues (efficiency, on-stream-time, off-spec, and waste/yields) with the
Plant Production/Engineering/Maintenance in order to maximize production
Apply troubleshooting/problem solving techniques as required to quickly respond to
quickly respond to many varieties of operational issues that may occur.
Coordinate/lead continuous improvement activities/teams for all aspects of the

Facilitate/support continuous improvement teams/projects.
Reports any deficiencies and/or nonconformities to the plantís management.
Works closely with the site engineering group to oversee the Management of Change
(MOC) system from MOC generation to completion (this includes conducting pre-
startup safety reviews, training, SOP modifications, equipment list updates, etc.).
Coordinate plant process change documentation.
Develop, improve, and sustain the plant preventive and Total Product Maintenance
Support plant/department projects as necessary.
Represent the company in the off-site events as necessary.
Bachelorís Degree required in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of chemical manufacturing experience in Acrylonitrile production or
Acrylonitrile used as a process raw material is required.
Experience in PSM, OSHA, environmental and other regulatory requirements in
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is a plus.
Demonstrated commitment to continual improvement.
Knows how to maintain Key Performance Indicators and utilize for improvement
Work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Ability to motivate, prioritizes, and organizes in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing
Excellent in written, verbal, and presentation skills including strong Microsoft Office
