Job Title: Technical Sales heavy metals removal

Job Description:


SUMMARY
The Technical Sales Representative’s primary purpose is to service and expand 
company’s 
heavy metal removal markets.  Responsibilities include working with existing 
customers 
to target the use of core company products to expand current business as well as 
target 
new business opportunities.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in Company sales growth and diversification by developing and growing the 
heavy 
metal removal market with new or existing chemistries.
Maintain a continuous liaison with customers and potential customers.
Obtain and evaluate external information of possible new markets and applications, 
dollar volume, pricing, and weigh the benefits which can be offered to a customer.
Understand the safe handling, health and safety rules, and MSDS’s for products in 
our 
heavy metal removal markets.  Explain to customers the safe handling, storage and 
use 
of company products.  Comply with all safety practices and environmental 
regulations 
applicable to the customer site.
Understand the company product range with respect to the heavy metal removal 
markets. 
Thoroughly understand the list of customers, potential customers and competitors 
in 
the NA market and technically position company products versus the competition.
Understand the global interfacing of company products, applications, and functions 
including patents, R&D, technical, logistics, sales and production and planning. 
Follow up on all customer validations, needs, orders, including delivery and 
quality 
issues, with sales, customer service, logistics, quality, QC, and R&D as 
necessary.
Provide feedback to the R&D Department or technical department of existing and 
potential customer requirements for new or existing products.
Implementation and integration of new business / new products where applicable 
into 
our Core Sales organizations.
Understand the environmental legislation and trends relative to development of the 
heavy metal removal markets.  Explain to customers the impact of environment 
legislation as it relates to company products.
 
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field. 
A minimum of 3-5 years technical or technical sales experience required with 
knowledge 
of water soluble polymers in a related industry.
Position requires excellent organizational, interpersonal including listening, 
negotiation and presentation skills. 
Must be Microsoft office literate at the intermediate to advanced level.
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
